An additional $6.20 per credit transfer fee will be assessed for each successful transferred course through EBC/PLA.

Tuition Rates
Tuition rates are subject to change based on institutional policies and financial needs. All tuition changes will be communicated to students prior to the start of the semester or term in which the new rates take effect.
Fees
Additional fees, including resources, assessment, and graduation fees, may apply and are non-refundable. Descriptions of each fee can be found in the Fee Schedule. Fees are subject to change and may vary based on enrollment status and program requirements.
Financial Aid
Allegheny Valley College currently does not participate in federal financial aid programs (FAFSA) and does not accept federal student loans or grants. Students are encouraged to explore private scholarships, employer-sponsored tuition assistance, and other financing options. Please consult our Student Services team for guidance on non-federal funding sources.
Scholarships and Discounts
Discounts and scholarships may be limited to certain student groups, programs, or enrollment terms and cannot be combined unless specified. All eligibility requirements must be met to qualify for tuition discounts or scholarships, and awards may be adjusted if a student changes enrollment status or program.
Refund Policy
Refunds for tuition and fees follow the institutional refund policy. Specific deadlines and conditions apply, and refunds may not be available after a certain period. For a detailed refund schedule, please refer to the Refund Policy or contact the Student Services office.
Prior Learning Credit Assessment Fees
Fees associated with prior learning assessments, such as Experience-Based Credit (EBC) or portfolio evaluation, are non-refundable and are required upfront for each assessment submitted. Completion of the assessment does not guarantee awarded credit.
Payment Plan Fee
A payment plan setup fee may apply for students choosing installment payments. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid with the initial installment.
Veterans and Military Benefits
AVC offers certain tuition discounts and waives specific fees (e.g. Graduation Fee) for veterans, active-duty military, and first responders. Proof of eligibility is required, and benefits are only applicable to tuition and select fees.
